Make it Measurable: Your question should lead to something you can actually observe and measure.

Consider Variables: Think about what you're changing (independent variable) and what you're measuring (dependent variable).

Be Specific: Instead of "Does heat affect things?", try "How does temperature affect the dissolving rate of sugar?"

Safety First: Make sure your investigation can be done safely with available equipment.
